Catalogue Parties

So this week I have been looking at other ways of promoting my business and getting sales up for this coming month. I am sure that some of you are doing this but I thought I would try doing a Catolgue party.

For those of you that don’t know, a catolgue party is where you give a consumer a load of catolgues and order forms and say that they have to get as many orders as possible in a week. The idea is for people that would like to be able to get FREE items from your business are able to still get the benefits of having a party but without actually having a party.

You would still do all of the Hostess Coaching that you would normally do when you are going to be doing a party but this allows the hostess to be able to get friends at work, friends at home, family to be able to buy from the catolgue without having to go to a party. As we are coming up to the Summer School Holidays some mother’s may not wish to have a party in these times. If you can continue to get sales when they wont have a party then it is beneficial to you as a party consultant.

Things that you will need to do to make a catolgue party successful:

  • Create a buzz about the Catolgue parties – easy way to get hostess offers without the hassle, getting free products, no pressure of a party.
  • Design a Catolgue Hostess Pack – this will have all the catolgues, order forms, offer details, hostess offers if they would be interested in a party or catolgue party of their own.
  • Offers for holding a catolgue party for themselves.
  • Give the Hostess a deadline where she will need to get the orders back to you by.
  • Explain that she can get ANYONE to have a catolgue and purchase but you will need ALL catolgues back when you collect.
  • Provide your Catolgue Hostess with a little extra offer if you can.
  • Coach your hostess a week before the week of sales for her to be able to get to her targets and also maximise the sales.

Your catolgue parties are there to show people that do not want to have a party but love the products. The people that are saying NO to having a party can be persued to have the benefits without having the party they don’t want. You might think that it is a bit crafty but at the end of the day you are maximising your sales by getting out to the people that don’t want to have a party.

Being a Party Planner is about looking at different angles that other’s may not be thinking about, but the not being bothered attitude will not increase you sales or allow you to have a successful party plan business. Everyone that reads my articles are doing so because they want to be able to increase their business and make the money that they want to. By reading my articles you are making your business grow without realising it and having a catolgue party is just another different way of increasing your sales and coverage of customers.

You may also find that the hostess becomes a recruit. The reason for this is that she has been able to sell the products to her friends without the party bit and if she has had a successful amount of sales you can then use the Cheques to Hostesses and tell her that she would of earn’ t X amount but just doing what she did. Not only will you get sales from a Catalogue Party but you may even be getting new consultants on your team.
